HABIT IS LIFE.

Habit is a way of living. It's the way we carry out our day-to-day activities. Habits define us, speak about us, and identify us in all areas of life. Bad habits are very easy to live with, unlike good ones. Habit is a mental shortcut learned from experiences. Your daily dealings make you who you are. Your habit shapes your identity and vice vasa. How can you let go of bad habits for good ones? What triggers habits?

The environment is the invisible hand that shapes human behavior. The most potent human sensory abilities are vision, for this reason, a small change in what you see can lead to a big shift in what you do. The cues in your environment trigger a craving, which motivates a response, provides a reward that satisfies the craving, and ultimately becomes associated with the cues.

However, you can design your environment for success. One of the practical ways to eliminate a bad habit is to reduce exposure to the cues that causes it. Rather than make it obvious you can make it invisible. Small changes in context can lead to large changes in behavior over time. Every habit is initiated by a cue. We are more likely to notice cues that stand out. Make the cues of good habits obvious in your environment.

In conclusion, a good habit is a good life. I wish you imbibe the good habit daily, this will eventually modify you for a great identity and good life. You can do it, the truth is good habits are difficult to acquire, unlike bad ones. Use the Pointing-and-calling method to achieve this. Pointing and calling raises your awareness from a non-conscious pattern to a more conscious level by verbalizing your actions. By doing this, before you know it you have overcome the bad ones already.

 See you next time.
